Adsense Retiring Referrals and How It Will Affect Publishers
Posted in Affiliate Marketing, Google Adsense, Make Money Online on Jul 1, 2008
When I wrote about Google Affiliate Network yesterday, I asked the question whether Google will be adding products from Google Affiliate Network into Adsense so that publishers who are already earning money with Adsense will be able to take advantage of these promotions.
We’ve finally got an answers today as it was announced that referrals will be retired from Adsense beginning from the last week of August 2008.
How Will It Affect Publishers?
1. All referalls code will not work beginning the last week of August 2008 and it’s adviced that you removed these codes from your site.
2. Run and save all referrals reports on your desktop
3. Adsense for content will still continue to run on all publisher’s website.
4. Join the Google Affiliate Network if you are really passionate about affiliate marketing and referrals programs.
I haven’t heard much complaints about Referrals being pulled out of Adsense yet. Adsense for content still earns more for publishers and myself. How about you?
