Fastest Internet Download Manager Comparison

Over these years, I have come across and used a few download managers. Back in the dialup days, they were such a good tool to have, especially in helping you to resume your downloads even after a disconnection. They still are handy to have even to these days to speed up my download speeds.
I previously used Getright and Flashget but am using Internet Download Manager (IDM) these days. I have to say that IDM is the fastest that I’ve tested. IDM used to be freeware back when it was in version 3 or 4, which I’m still using these days. If you can find a source to download the freeware version, I say you should go for it.
How about you? Do you a favorite internet download manager tool?
I use FDM for 2 years now. Quite pleased with it.
