Open Source Components in Adwords Editor

While installing Google Adwords Editor on a second computer of mine, I came across the license agreement (terms and agreements) of using the software. Usually, I just pretend that I read and browse to the bottom and press “I agree”. But while doing that, I notice that Adwords Editor was built using some (not all) open source librabries such as libCurl, OpenSSL, SQLite and MySpell.
Good to see that Google is taking things out of Open Source and contributing at the same time as well (like they did with MySQL).

How many out of these libraries have you heard of before?
I am not able to hit the “I accept” button on two of my mac. I am trying to install on PPC Powermac and an Intel mac mini. Adwords Editor 6.5 will simply not let me past the Terms and Conditions. I scroll all the way down but never have the option to click “I agree”. Any one else have this problem?
Using Adwods Editor 6.5 here too but on a PC. Maybe someone else can help you with this on Mac?

Google wrote me back with a solution;

Thank you for your email. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having difficulty
clicking on the ‘I Accept’ button after installing AdWords Editor 6.5 on
your Mac even after clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. I checked
into this and found that our technical team has identified a technical
issue around this.
Our technical team is currently working diligently to find a resolution.
In the meantime, I’d recommend this as a local workaround for accepting
Terms & Conditions with a fresh Mac 6.5.0 install:
* Start AdWords Editor and review the terms and conditions. Be sure to
read the whole thing. You will not be able to click accept, though, so
click on cancel instead. This will close AdWords Editor.
* Using a text editor, open the file in your home directory at
Library/Application
Support/AdWords-Editor/Profiles/[some-random-eight-character-string].default/localstore.rdf
* Look for the line in the file that reads as follows:
* Use the editor to add 2 new lines around this line, one before, one
after, so that when you’re done this part of the file reads EXACTLY AS
FOLLOWS:
* Save localstore.rdf and exit the text editor
* Restart AdWords Editor. You will be brought to the main application
window without further need to review the terms and conditions.

Seconded. Daniel, were there any lines that were left out in your reply from Google as mentioned by Ingo?
Just in case here it is again but I replaced the open and close carrot symbol with brackets. I suspect the entry field stripped out the text that was surrounded by the carrot symbols.

Also, you might be able to fix it by disabling some fonts. I disabled Trebuchet and Verdana (the terms and conditions were appearing in one of those fonts, which are bigger at equivalent point sizes to some other typefaces) and then restarted Adwords Editor. The T&C agreement came up, this time the agreement was set in Times, and scrolling to the bottom illuminated the “I Accept” button.
