It’s been in the news that Myspace will be partnering with Skype to introduce Skype into its social networking site. The news came as the owner of Myspace, Rupert Murdoch, was attending a web 2.0 conference and ebay reported results for the third quarter 2007. Ebay swung to a loss due to a large write-off of its investment into Internet telephony carrier Skype.

The partnership can be a win-win situation here as Myspace is trying to gain more grounds and offer more features as other social networking sites such as facebook are catching up, while ebay could potentially get more skype users through myspace who will be looking into buying credits to make calls to landline or mobiles.
