Microsoft launched the beta of Windows Live Sync along with Windows Live Essentials 2011, allowing users to sync files and data between PC and PC, and between your PC and the cloud. After the most recent beta refresh, Microsoft will be rebranding Sync to Windows Live Mesh.
I personally gave Windows Live Sync a go late last year and has since moved on to dropbox, which I find easier to use and has a better user interface.
If you own and work on more then one computer, it’s wise to choose a software to help you keep your files synced. Gone are the days where you need to bring along a usb stick/drive just so you have the latest copies of files in hand when you need it. Thanks to free services like Windows Live Sync (or Windows Live Mesh) and Dropbox, once you’ve uploaded your files to the cloud, all your files can be kept up to date and accessible anywhere.
