Gartner estimates that Widgets, those web-based installable applications which can be downloaded into the mobile device, will ensure access to a wide variety of customized applications through the internet in mobile devices. People want custom services – a news cast, weather updates, e-mail alerts etc are becoming increasingly customized, to the taste of the consumer. Widgets will look to provide small, simple and interactive applications which would provide a custom browsing experience to the user.
