After discussing about remote access control and connection with TeamViewer and Mikogo, I’ve come across CrossLoop which does what most of remote desktop software already does, but provides something extra which is a community and marketplace to advertise (or show off) your expertise.
After you’ve downloaded and installed the client, you can then join and setup an user account to set yourself up as a helper. The best thing is that helpers can set rates for those who are willing to pay for a helper’s service. If you do have some technical or tools of trade such as web devopment and programming skills that you can offer online or through a computer, why not? You might even earn a few extra cash or treat it as a part/full time business.
Need a graphic designer or web developer? Try searching in the marketplace.
Anyone have good experience to share as a helper?

Try Techinline Remote Desktop (www.techinline.com) which is much easier to use since nobody has to install anything. Although the level of functionality may be lower than LogMeIn, the price is also a fraction of LogMeIn
