6 Recession Proof Industry Jobs
Not bad to have an insight of what job sectors are still strong and hiring while US starts to go into recession. Are you working in any of them?

2. Government
3. Education
4. Mining/oil and gas extraction
5. Professional and business services (particularly in engineering, computer systems and consulting)

How To Check Spelling For Any Software Application
I’ve just started using TinySpell as a spelling checker and am quite satisfied with the results I’m seeing so far. No matter which application you are working in, as long as there are text and you think spelling is important, just turn on TinySpell and it will start checking that your spellings are all correct in real time while you type. I personally work in opera, notepad++, pspad, dreamweaver etc where text content and spellings can be quite important.

Ebays Buys BillMeLater
Ebay is the parent company of Paypal and it won’t be surprising if it has decided to acquire the up and coming star in payment processing company Bill Me Later. Even Amazon knows its potential and has invested quite an amount of money into the company late last year.
The way Bill Me Later works is you enter your birth date and last four digits of your social security number online, and it does a credit check on you in three seconds to determine whether you are worth the risk. Bill Me Later pays the merchant, and sends you a bill.
Hate to say it but I personally feel that it might have been better for consumers if the ebay and BillMeLater deal haven’t been approved. Now ebay can leverage what BillMeLater has been doing and continue to strengthen Paypal’s position.

LOL Google Adwords Sponsored Link
So I was doing a keyword search on Google for a popular anti spyware application and was returned with this bizarre sponsored ads.
The best part of this is (apart from laughing out loud) :
1. It’a a dead link (destination url is dead!)
2. It’s was on the first sponsored link on the right hand side of the SERP for a highly popular and competitive anti-spyware keyword!
3. How that got through the adwords editorial guideline is an answer i’m still seeking.
Looks like someone is testing free adwords credits/coupons or he/she has some real cash to burn. And it’s obviously targeting the wrong geographic too!
PPC Editorial Best Practises Revisited
I know that all 3 major search engines doesn’t like gambling, pharmaceutical and adult related content but did you know that Microsoft Adcenter mentions explicitly that they are against free offers and sweepstakes too?

Google I/O Session Videos and Slides
I once wondered what Google I/O is all about. By what I can tell from this list, they seems like presentations for web technology such as API, Ajax, Javascript, Google OpenSocial and Google Maps.
UML, FlowChart and Mind Mapping Software Tools
IBM’s Rational Rose isn’t the only tool for drawing UML diagrams and Microsoft Visio ain’t the only flowchart mapping software either. I find FreeMind quite easy to use and as a freeware alternative to Microsoft Visio in drawing mindmaps and flowcharts, but how about freeware tools to draw UML diagrams? Here, I present you with “the list”.
