Consider yourself an elite Yahoo! user if you know what these are. I wonder how many people knew about these, including a faster way to send mails in Yahoo!, search and redirect to your favorite sites and searching incoming links for a domain.
1. Send email command directly from seach
Let’s say you are searching in Yahoo! and thought of sending an email to someone using Yahoo Mail. You can do so and the fastest way is to actually type !mail [email protected] into the search bar.
2. Seach and Redirect to your favorite websites from Yahoo! search
For instance, type !wiki google in Yahoo! search box to search Google in Wikipedia.com. You will be redirected directly to Google’s page on wikipedia. Other popular shortcuts are !ebay, !amazon, and !flickr.
3. Search linking domains
This is a tip for SEO. Google’s links: operator returns only a small list of incoming links to a particular website. Yahoo! probably does a better job in this regard with their linkdomain: operator.
Let’s say you want to find who links to google.com, this would be done as:
linkdomain:google.com
So after reading this, do you still think that you are an elite Yahoo! user after all? ๐
