The first tennis grand slam tournament of the year (Australia Open) has started and if you want live scores, just search for it on Google or Yahoo. Here’s how they compare to each other when a search is done on roger federer (who gave quite a shock to everyone who followed and could potentially lose the game if he had lost the second set to Igor Andreev).
Google Tennis Score Updates/Results
Talking about Google, I had also mention this feature from Google back in 2009 during the 2009 Australia Open Finals.
A nice addition to google search results recently is the inclusion of realtime updates from twitter, google blogsearch, google news and major news agencies/publications.
Yahoo Tennis Score Updates/Results
Not so bad either with results populated in an easy to follow table.
Wait, but where is Bing? Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything decent showing up on Bing when I search for “federer” or “nadal”. No results. No real time updates from twitter. Nope, non at all.
