Just updated this blog to WordPress 2.6 and am happy to report that it’s running smoothly and I’m happy with that. Every part of the blog is still functioning be it at the front end, plugins, rss, permalinks, administration or database.
For those who have not updated, I think it would be wise to. This video released by wordpress sums up pretty much all of the new features introduced into WordPress 2.6
I was checking my WordPress Akismet spam list to see what spammers are trying to spam my blog with. Well, the usual same stuff that you would have expected: Porn, Pills, Casinos etc.

For all wordpress stats users, have you notice that there has been quite a number of random hot post which are in Malay? I’m not sure where those authors are from, but from what I can tell, there had been a big proportion coming from Malaysia as blog post were given title that has to do with politics such as containing keywords like mahatir, pak lah, kenaikan harga, harga minyak, spm results, situasi politik malaysia etc etc.
Finding a way to improve your productivity in WordPress, especially in managing details of your post? Look no further as here’s one good wordpress plugin called Admin Management Xtended Plugin which does the following:
1. Adds AJAX-driven options to some admin management pages with CMS-known functions like toggling post/page visibility without having to open the edit screens
2. Change page order with drag’n’drop
3. And best of all, edit post date, edit post title and slug title and toggle post visibility.
I was immediately hooked after watching the screencast. Kudos to the author for making such a nice plugin.
Been hearing some good comments lately about the instant upgrade plugin for wordpress. If you are stuck in an old version and are afraid to upgrade, maybe it’s now time to be brave. Give this wordpress plugin a try.

If anyone knows a way to do this or have any successful experience in WordPress 2.5, feel free to pass on the knowledge. Thanks.
